Innovation Project

Innovation Project is a collective team experience for our first-year students in computing, engineering and the built environment. Together with theory, experience and imagination our multidisciplinary approach develops and cultivates creative minds through collaborative innovative practice to construct purposeful yet viable products and solutions. Our students express talent by addressing STEAM challenges with UN Sustainable Development Goals in mind. The Innovation Project is internationally adopted and delivered in collaboration with Wuhan Universities.

Enterprise Practice Project

Enterprise Practice Project is a unique innovative experience for our second-year Computing students to draw upon their technical learning framework through Reflection, Evaluation, Entrepreneurialism and Management (REEM). Our multidisciplinary approach challenges our students to critically assess the value of delivering technical projects to business goals.
Our students establish a strategic mindset both for an enterprise and their career, going further with their Final Year Industry and Research project. Our academic Innovative Pedagogy enables our students to showcase their talent by competing in the Board Room Pitch with our sponsored business partners to award 3 prizes.

MyResearch4Industry

MyResearch4Industry is a contest that offers PhD students the opportunity to showcase the significance of their research. It is sponsored by the PhD Hub, an EU funded project under Erasmus+ Key Action 2 – Knowledge Alliance promoting academic and industrial collaboration within a multidisciplinary (STEAM) research framework. Together with scientific and technical quality, this activity aims to promote their oral and presentation skills, also giving wider visibility to their work. A jury composed of industry and academic experts will evaluate the contestants’ pitch deck and will award 3 prizes to support the PhD students’ research activities for industry.
